    Kristin Rhoads, LMT

    Kristin has been practicing massage therapy for the last 15 years. Her experience in a chiropractic office as well as a spa setting have allowed her the experience and growth needed to be a well rounded and beneficial massage therapy experience. Kristin is also a certified birth doula and Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor allowing her extra tools to help her clients achieve the most out of their sessions.

    Kallan Napierkowski, LMT

    I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2012 and it is my passion in life. I worked with a Chiropractor from 2013 to 2018 and have learned multitudes of skills and treatment plans from her, in addition to my 750 hour education at Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy (plus several continuing education classes since then). I work at Nurture the Journey Wellness studio in Minooka, as well as out of my home in Shorewood. I offer customized massage treatments including deep tissue, myofascial, prenatal, injury rehabilitation, TMJ dysfunction, Swedish, etc. I also use a heated table, hot stones, and Biofreeze for the optimal massage experience!

    Molly Lopez, LMT

    Molly’s journey as a Massage Therapist began as a patient in a chiropractic office. She was then hired on as a Chiropractic Assistant in April of 2016. From there Molly decided to further her education and go to Cortiva Institute in Joliet where she fell in love with bodywork and massage. After graduation she decided to break away from the clinical setting and try working at a spa. Since then she has found her way to Joliet Medical Center and Nurture the Journey. Most days she works with a chiropractor to help patients find pain relief, on Sunday mornings she has the freedom to see clients at Nurture the Journey and can work with them on her own time .Molly’s goal as a massage therapist is to use her social and physical skills to aid in pain relief, rehabilitation, and recovery from injury for clients as well as make their visit enjoyable with the prospect of advancing within the organization. She believes you can find relief from pain without the use of medication and the plus side is you get to spoil yourself!

    Debbie Galvan, LMT

    Debbie has been performing massage therapy since 2004. She is trained under a blanket of many different modalities. Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, warm stone, medical, reflexology, craniosacral, sports, scar tissue, floating joint, trigger point and coming in July 2019 myofascial release under Barnes. She loves to incorporate a balance of swedish in addition to adding therapeutic techniques to specific areas of the body. She also can incorporate Thai techniques during the session as well. Debbie is also trained in perform facials Or Chinese facial accupressure techniques can be applied during the session. Debbie's motto is take time for yourself so you can give your best to others. Look forward to seeing you you the massage table.

    Kristin began her journey into wellness over 15 years ago with massage therapy. Having practiced that for 12 years she decided to obtain the proper training for yoga certification to allow the students and clients in her community the ability and tools to strategically combat issues that were presenting in their everyday life. From massage therapy sessions, private yoga therapy sessions, doula, pre and post natal recovery and kids yoga...the yoga studio was created to allow even the beginner an opportunity to step on the mat for the first time and harness their innate ability to heal.

    Brenda VanAsdlen

    Brenda's wellness journey began over 25 years ago as a certified personal trainer/group fitness instructor. She brings a huge variety of fitness to her classes. She was introduced to yoga 20 years ago and realized the benefits of movement and breath. She started teaching yoga in a gym setting, but soon realized that some pieces were missing. After completing the Yoga Alliance 200hr certification in 2015, Brenda’s yoga journey changed. She loves sharing all the pieces that “Yoga” has to offer. Her yoga home now is at Nurture The Journey Wellness Studio in Minooka, IL. She teachs group classes along with private yoga and corporate classes. Through Happy Journey Yoga and Wellness, a registered school of Yoga, she also offers 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings, continuing education credits and workshops. I love sharing Yoga with beginners as well as students that been practicing for years. Brenda is also a wellness educator. Over the past 10 years she has been education people on toxins and the effects they have on ourselves and our families. Brenda helps people truly detox their homes, helping it became a better and safer environment.

    As a yoga instructor, All that I ask of you is to show up.
    Dedicate the time to check in with yourself.
    Calm your mind, challenge your body and probably laugh a little.

    Know that I am a person that believes in you, and I will influence your life in a positive way. I will challenge you to become the best possible YOU. I will always provide a space that is drama free and very approachable from the very beginner yogi to the super advanced. My classes are fun, uplifting and will leave you a little sweaty.

    I offer group classes, private and corporate yoga. I am always open to donate my practice to charity.

    I LOVE YOGA!!! Mentally, physically and deep down in my soul I have reaped the benefits of this beautiful practice. I first stepped on the mat at 23. That was 16 years ago.
    I received my 200 hr Yoga alliance certificate under the guidance of Theresa Wilson at Twist Yoga Lounge in Plainfield, Il.
    I have continued my Restorative Yoga education with the Himalayan Yoga and Meditation Center guided by the principles and methodology of Swami Rama.

    When I am not teaching yoga, you will find me spending time with my family,laughing having fun, and talking about food. Nowadays,I feel like an Uber driver for our daughter with all of her sports and activities. It’s cool though, some of our best conversations have happened on those rides.

    I have always been passionate about health and wellness. I have been a nurse for over 25 years, as well as a group fitness instructor. I have taught yoga for the past 10 years and most recently completed the 200 hour RYT yoga training with Kristin and Brenda. All Levels welcome. I will guide each individual through their own yoga practice in a group atmosphere to find peace through body, mind and spirit.

    A lover of yoga for over 12 years and currently finishing up my 200 hour yoga Alliance Teacher Training at Sacred Path Yoga, a Rolf Gates Affiliate School. I’m so excited to be able to share our love of yoga together! I love gardening, nature, chocolate, coffee, yoga and avocados! I Seriously could live on just those things and probably survive! I'm passionate about reconnecting with ourselves on the mat and allowing our bodies the time and self love we all deserve!     Our Classes GO Month to Month

    Because space is limited in the studio we ask that everyone please secure a spot in the class for your particular class and the instructor with the link provided. Arriving about 10 mins early will allow you time to set up, get acclimated on your mat and inform your instructor of any information that may help make your class more comfortable and appropriate for you. Please remove shoes, silence phones and be present. We have all the supplies (mats, blankets, bolsters and blocks) available in the space for your convenience.

    I have been in the health and wellness industry sense 1994. After my second pregnancy I decide to get back into shape by getting ready for a bodybuilding competition. I loved the process so much that I competed until 2002. A certified Personal trainer, and Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor. I love all forms of movement! I’m a certified personal train for 20yrs now. Certified in Mat Pilates and Reformer for 12yrs, and in the 200hr. Yoga Teacher Training at Nurture the Journey. Helping people reach their goals and feel better is my passion!

Reiki can be channeled through a gentle hands-on session or through no touch at all; that is entirely your decision. Reiki is best received when you are comfortable and relaxed; to help ensure your relaxation and enhance your healing process, I perform Reiki on a heated Biomat, with crystals and your choice of Essential Oils.
